On 26 June 2019 Steph, chief of staff in a Fintech company wed Rahoul, sales director in a sports data company, at Vallabregues, Provence in France. The day's styling was made by the pair, their family, and friends, all inspired by the ancient and charming French architecture and also the fresh wildflowers within the surrounding meadows.

"I wanted something comfortable and never too fussy, along with a dress that worked well within the space. I loved the truth that my dress had the most amazing fabric which was striking and extremely complimented the aesthetics within the space."

The bride wore her hair inside a shiny, long bob. I adore the feel of mismatched bridesmaids, which group each chose their midi dress inside a different color.

"They were in dark green bridesmaid dresses, rich yellow, black and dusty pink. They looked gorgeous and tied in well using the bright colors reflected within the chateau artwork and chandeliers within the dining hall. They looked incredible."

"We did this by lacking a florist or anyone doing our décor. Of course, the venue itself is beautiful it didn't need a ton of decoration. We wanted a very natural aesthetic that complimented the chateau using its beautiful stone, peeling away wallpaper, and lightweight coming through old French shutters." Go

"My bridesmaids, my mother, and I went into the fields all around the village and foraged for wildflowers and greenery yesterday at the wedding. We found the most amazing flowers and shrubbery in shades of pink, purple, green, and earth shades which worked perfectly using the venue and feel we wanted."

Steph and Rahoul were engaged for any year before their big day, and first met years back home in Cape Town, South Africa.

"Rahul visited school with one of my brothers and that he used to spend time and effort at my house. We were friends for a few years, where I lived in France and did a few superyachts, and Rahoul worked like a carpenter in Cape Town. He went to live in London six years ago and we met up when I was going to a friend. The rest is history. We didn't do a proposal. We just decided eventually over lunch that people would get married."

"We are generally so glad this is how we decided as it's vital that you to become ourselves and never feel we have to conform to methods for doing things simply because everyone else does them. I guess this carried right through to our day."

Words of Wedded Wisdom

"Choose the traditions that you would like and leave the ones that you simply don't. We did this also it made our day seem like our own and extremely genuine to us which we're so happy about. Just be yourself with regards to your wedding and don't hesitate to challenge the norms that you simply don't necessarily agree with regards to wedding planning."
