We're pleased to introduce our Act 1 Guide for Diablo 2 Resurrected (D2R). Here we'll lay out all the information, tricks and tips to finish Act 1 with ease.


 The Den Of Evil is the first quest you will encounter in Act I. It is located in the Blood Moor zone right outside the Rogue Encampment. When you are ready to begin your adventure, go to through the Blood Moor and find the cave entrance, which is called Den Of Evil.


 Blood Raven's quest for the death of Blood Raven is the second quest of Act 1. The quest involves the killing the Blood Raven. After completing The Den of Evil quest, go back out of town into the Blood Moor and search the outside walls to find the Cold Plains.


 As you enter your way into Cold Plains be sure to make sure you grab the waypoint. Once you've grabbed the waypoint move around the perimeter of the area until you reach The Burial Grounds(Note - The pathway to Stony Field, too is connected with The Cold Plains but is not the path you want to go down yet).


 Blood Raven is an archer who is found in the wall of the Burial Grounds. In Blood, Raven summons zombie minions as well as shoots poison archers. Antidote potions as well as health potions are recommended.


 Once Blood Raven has been killed Once Blood Raven has been killed, go back to the town and talk with Kashya(4) to claim your reward.


 The Search For Cain is the third quest in Act 1. It is presented by Akara(1) as well as being lengthy.


 The quest requires you to collect the scroll from the Tree of Inifuss and bringing it to Akara(1) to be translated and utilized at the Cairn Stones for entry into Tristram and free Cain.


 After you've defeated Blood Raven and finished quest 2. Return to the Cold Plains and look for the entrance into The Stony Field. Once you are in Stony Fields, explore in the area for the waypoint and Cairn Stones.


 Be cautious when approaching these stones since Rakanishu is always present and emits a lightning-like aura when attacked. Be aware of this spot in your mind while you search for the Stony Field for the entrance to the Underground Passage. This is typically located on the outside of the map, but it can occasionally appear within the fields. Upon entering through the Underground Passage you will be looking for an exit called The Dark Wood.


 There is the Underground Passage 2 but that area just has a golden chest for some loot within it. Once you find the Dark Woods exit, you will begin searching seeking the Tree of Inifuss. The tree is guarded by a formidable group of brutes , led by Treehead Woodfist. Woodfist is an extra powerful attack and is extremely fast so be cautious.


 If you're unable to eliminate him, take the guy away until you can turn around and click on the Tree and take the Scroll that falls. When you are in this zone, there is a waypoint. Make sure to pick it up. Once you have the Scroll of Inifuss and the waypoint, you can return in Akara(1) within The Rogue Encampment to have her find the scroll.


 Once you're done, return at the Stony Fields and the Cairn Stones and use the scroll. When you use the scroll, it will show you the correct sequence to click the stones(Note that you don't have to click on the scroll if it doesn't interest you, you can just spam click the stones and the scroll will illuminate.)


 After you have clicked the appropriate stones a portal to Tristram will appear. After entering, you'll be ported to Tristram. Diablo 1 starting town of Tristram. In the middle of town you will see Cain trapped in a cage. Click the cage to free him and he'll return to town. Do not hesitate to clean the area since there are plenty of unique monsters for good exp. After releasing Cain Return at Cain's Rogue Encampment and talk to Cain(6) and to Akara(1) to receive your rewards.


 Forgotten Tower is the fourth quest in Act 1. Forgotten Tower is the Fourth quest in Act 1. It is started by going through The Moldy Tome within the Stony Field (Note - It is not necessary to read the book in order to do The Forgotten Tower quest). After saving Cain, return into The Dark Woods and search the outside for the Black Marsh. Within the Black marsh is the Forgotten Tower.


 It is recommended that you find the waypoint for The Black Marsh before venturing inside since The Forgotten Tower is five floors and has no easy exit. Once you've found the waypoint enter the tower.


 When you are inside the tower, make towards the tower floors until you get to floor number five. On this floor The countess and her followers are in one of the major rooms. The Countess will have a fire magical attack that spawns fire walls in the floor.


 After being killed, she'll drop runes . The chest in her room will be opened up and spew gold. Once the gold has been found, return to Town and ask the town's inhabitants for a story. (Note it is helpful to farm the countess few times for some runes that are starter runes for lower level runewords)


 The Tools of the Trade is the fifth and final quest of Act I. The quest begins with Charsi(2) in which she will ask you to take the Horaderic Malus from the Monastery. After you've completed the Fourth quest and using the waypoint to return to the Black Marsh and search around the outside looking for the Tamoe Highlands. Inside the highlands is an entrance into the monastery.


 Once you have entered the monastery, will move into a zone called"the Outer Cloister that has a waypoint located in the middle. Once you have the waypoint, you can search the outer doors in search of an entrance into the Barracks. Make your way through the barracks looking for the Malus which is protected by The Smith.


 The Smith has a fair amount of energy and can attack hard so be prepared. If you are unable to kill him, you can take him down as you did Woodfist. In his room , there is a clickable anvil which will drop the malus.


 Sisters to the Slaughter is the sixth and final mission in Act I. It is the final quest that involves the murder of Andariel One of the lesser of the evils. Once you have returned the Malus in Charsi(2) and then use the waypoint to return to The Outer Cloister and reenter the Barracks. Explore the inside of the barracks for ways to go down into level 1.


 Continue up the levels of the jail picking up the point on floor 1. When you are at floor 3. Look for an exit labeled Inner Cloister. After entering the Inner Cloister, get the waypoint located in the center and then search for the entry point into the Cathedral. As you make your way through the Cathedral keep to either the right or left sides and seek the entrance to Catacombs Level 1.


 The Skeleton Mage, the only one of its kind Bone Ash will be around inside the Cathedral therefore feel free to kill him before going down. When you are inside the Catacombs begin your journey to level 4 as you make sure to grab the waypoint on level 2. When you arrive at Catacombs Level 4, there are only three rooms.


 Clear out the first and the second room and you should be able to see a huge door leading into the 3rd. This room houses Andariel and her gang of minions. It is suggested to put down a town portal near the entrance steps prior to attempting to take on Andariel. Andariel's capabilities include poison frontal cone as well as a poison melee, and singular long range poison bolt. Make sure you stock up on potions as well as an antidote or two prior to engaging.


 Once she dies, she will proceed to burn up with a gateway that will be opened and allow her to return to town. Talk to the town's inhabitants for a bit of lore and then speak about it with Warriv(5) and travel East. Congrats, you've completed in the initial act, and you are on you way to the second.
